Reviews for Some of Our Homes

What They Say About Us

Exactly as pictured and described. I got a little confused upon check in, and before I could tell my husband, “I just messaged the host” I was getting a call back! Amazing. Far more amenities in the kitchen than expected which was great. We traveled with 4 kids and 2 dogs and they all enjoyed the fenced in yard and beautiful park and walking trails directly across the street. With a big family, I really appreciated the abundance of fresh linens, pillows and towels. That alone is worth 20 stars! We had one day of virtual school during our stay and the Wi-Fi accommodated everyone all day without fail. Three separate TVs with Rokus was an awesome bonus. We were there for a soccer tournament so the washer and dryer in the home was perfect! So many thoughtful touches. We highly recommend and will definitely be back when in the area again.

Best and easiest communication I’ve ever had with an Airbnb host. Mark takes being an Airbnb host to a professional level. The house is well laid out for travelers. Lots of space to put your stuff. A well appointed kitchen with plenty of appliances, dishes, pots, and pans, etc. in excellent condition. Very comfortable beds. Fantastically flexible reservation policy which gave us great peace of mind.

The location is fantastic for travelers with dogs. And the neighborhood is quiet. We are old house fanatics so we appreciated the original features in the house as well conveniences added in the newer rooms of the house. The dog channel on the Roku with bird and squirrel videos was actually watched and enjoyed by my dog and made it easier for me to leave her behind when we had to go out without her. A great stay all the way around.

This quaint little home was perfect for our week long stay. It was nicely renovated, extremely clean and well stocked. We discovered little hidden gems within the home that were a cute surprise (you’ll have to find them on your stay). The large fenced in backyard was perfect for playing fetch with our dogs.

Even though the home is only a couple blocks from the interstate, the neighborhood was surprisingly quiet. We had quite a selection of restaurants and activities to keep us busy, including a great art center a couple blocks away. We definitely look forward to staying in this home again in the near future.

Mark’s place was wonderful and clean. The kitchen was fully stocked with all cooking essentials including a a Keurig machine with coffee pods. We had a brand new washing machine at our disposal and fresh towels for every room. The bathroom was stocked with full size shampoo, conditioner and body wash, had consistent hot water and a super nice shower head! The neighborhood is very quiet yet we were 5 minutes away from pharmacies, a gym, lots of food options and trails. My wife and I very much enjoyed our home away from home and would recommend all to visit. Thank you Mark and Sandra!

This was a last minute trip and with everything that could go wrong, this stay went perfectly. Not too many people let you bring pets anymore but we have an older dog that loves to be with us – thankful to find this home. The fenced yard was great for the dog as well as the toddler! 🙂 The beds were great and we didn’t lack anything. The shower water pressure was great, too. I always want to know about those two things so I try to comment on them. It was a very simple stay.

Special thank you to Mark, you were absolutely phenomenal. Very accommodating communication was superb all needs were met. There’s a beautiful screened in porch. The Wi-Fi worked well which was very important since I had a conference for three days. I love the covered carport for the car especially when we were leaving and had to pack it up in the rain. I slept in the master bedroom and it was very comfortable and the decor is beautiful.

Highly recommended and we will be back!

Our family is moving from Maryland to Georgia and we used Mark’s place as a stop. It was absolutely perfect! The house is extremely well equipped and decorated! The kitchen had plenty of utensils. We had an abundance of towels, bedding and toiletries! The fenced in backyard was just what we needed for our two dogs after a long trip. Mark provided us with a list of things to do around the area and we enjoyed walking in the park by the river. The house is close to everything you may need during your stay. Oh, did I mention the water pressure in the shower…heavenly! If you need a place to stay in the area you most certainly can’t go wrong with Mark’s place!

The Carrboro Getaway house is clean, comfortable and well-located. We traveled with two adults and two teens, and the house had plenty of space for us to spread out and not be on top of each other. This house has everything you need for any length of stay. There are plenty of bathrooms and beds, and the beds were very comfortable. Every bedroom also has a Roku TV, so your entire group can keep up with their streaming. While we didn’t cook any meals, we noted that the kitchen is nicely equipped, and we were given plenty of coffee. We enjoyed the front porch and patio area, and spent a lot of time out there. We would stay here again if we return to the area.

Molly

This house is located in a nice, quiet neighborhood. The furniture is comfortable and all seems relatively new. The kitchen has enough pots, pans and utensils, for making basic meals, and there is a grill on the back deck for cookouts. We weren’t able to access the river from the neighborhood, but the Saxapahaw paddle access and Haw River Island Park are less than five minutes drive. The Eddy Pub and Saxapahaw General Store are less than five minutes drive, and both have really good food. All-in-all, this was a comfortable place to stay for the three weeks we were here.
